Elephant Ear Sponge- Agelas clathrodes.
This species of sponge is found in the Bahamas, Caribbean Sea, and Florida. It is found on reefs, reef slopes, and vertical rock surfaces, especially where the current is strong. It is usaully found at depths greater than 10 meters. The Elephant Ear Sponge absorbs nutrients from the surrounding water and then turns the nutrients that it absorbs into ATP.
