California Spiny Lobster - Panulirus inter(interuptus)ruptus
The California spiny lobster is found on the eastern pacific ocean from Mexico to California. Lobster were thought to be scavengers but they can also eat weak organisms as well, such as fish, crab, clams, sea urchins, and sometimes other lobsters The lobster's digestive system consists of three stomachs, the foregut, the midgut, and the hindgut. The foregut has a gastric mill that grinds the food into smaller pieces. The food then flow into the midgut which further digests the food. The hindgut is the section of the degestive system that the food passes out through the anus.
